Book of Marriage
بَابٌ فِي الَّذِي يَعْتِقُ أَمَتَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْهَا .
One who frees his slave-woman and does not marry her

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَرْبَعَةٌ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ : أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَرَجُلٌ كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ أَمَةٌ فَأَعْجَبَتْهُ فَأَعْتَقَهَا ، ثُمَّ تَزَوَّجَهَا ، وَعَبْدٌ مَمْلُوكٌ أَدَّى حَقَّ اللَّهِ وَحَقَّ سَادَتِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَلْهَانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Four people will be given their reward twice: the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); a person from the People of the Book who becomes Muslim; a man who has a slave woman whom he likes, and he frees her and then marries her; and a slave who is owned by someone and fulfils the right of Allah Almighty and the right of his master."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
