وَعَنْ حَفْصَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يَدَعُ أَحَدُكُمْ طَلَبُ الْوَلَدِ ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ انْقَطَعَ اسْمُهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "None of you should abandon seeking children, for when a man dies and has no children, his name is cut off."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
