وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا فُتِحَتِ الْمَدَائِنُ أَقْبَلَ النَّاسُ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا وَأَقْبَلْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ .
فَكَانَ عَامَّةُ حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
فَكَانَ عَامَّةُ حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: When al-Mada'in was conquered, the people turned towards the world, and I turned my attention to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Most of the hadiths narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) are reported from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
