بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَنْخَلِعُ مِنْ مَالِهِ .
One who gives away all his wealth

عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي ، وَأَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي الَّتِي أَصَبْتُ فِيهَا الذَّنْبَ . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ ( مِنْ ذَلِكَ ) الثُّلُثُ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : وَأَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي الَّتِي أَصَبْتُ فِيهَا الذَّنْبَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : وَأَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي الَّتِي أَصَبْتُ فِيهَا الذَّنْبَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Part of my repentance is that I give up my wealth and leave the area of my people where I committed the sin." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "One third will suffice on your behalf." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Abu Dawud recorded it, except for these words: "and leave the area of my people where I committed the sin."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Yahya al-Himmani, who is da'if (weak), though he has been declared trustworthy.
