وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَصَدَّقَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِثُلُثِ أَمْوَالِكُمْ عِنْدَ وَفَاتِكُمْ زِيَادَةً فِي حَيَاتِكُمْ لِيَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ زِيَادَةً فِي أَعْمَالِكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الضَّبِّيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الضَّبِّيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed Allah Almighty has given you one third of your wealth as charity upon you at the time of your death, so that it may be an addition to your life and become a means of increase in your deeds."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Uqbah bin Humayd al-Dabbi, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ahmad declared him da'if (weak).
