Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7077

Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: In the year of the Conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my home. I said: "Will you not protect me from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What has happened?" I said: "A man came to me and hid behind me. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Move away from in front of him, or else I will strike you with a spear.' And then he even pricked the front of my head with the spear." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ali was not one to strike you with a spear."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
