وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَتَبَ كِتَابًا بَيْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ : " أَنْ يَعْقِلُوا مَعَاقِلَهُمْ ، وَأَنْ يَفْدُوا غَائِبَهُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالْإِصْلَاحِ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a document written between the Muhajirun and the Ansar that they would pay their blood money, ransom their absent one in a fair manner, and bring about reconciliation among the Muslims.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah, who is a mudallis, but he is thiqah (trustworthy).
