وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ شَرَطَ لِأَخِيهِ شَرْطًا لَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَفِيَ لَهُ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَالْمُدْلِي جَارَهْ إِلَى غَيْرِ مَنْعَةٍ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةُ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةُ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever makes an agreement with his brother on a condition that he does not intend to fulfil is like one who lands his neighbour in a predicament from which he cannot escape."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah, who is thiqah (trustworthy) and a mudallis, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
