Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6997

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no judge among the judges of the Muslims except that two angels are with him, guiding him toward the truth as long as he does not intend something other than the truth. When he intends something other than it and deliberately commits injustice, the two angels disown him and leave him to himself."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Abu Dawud al-A'ma (the blind), who is a kadhdhab (liar).
