Majma al-Zawaid 6952 — There is no vow in disobedience; a vow is only

A man narrated that he performed Hajj tied with a rope to a relative of his. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this, he said: "What is the reason for this?" He said that it was a vow. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the rope be cut.
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who is not named.
