Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Two men brought a dispute before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) over a piece of land belonging to one of them, and they were from Hadramawt. The narrator said: One of the two began to take the oath, and the other became distressed and said: "In that case, he will take away my land." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If he has wrongfully seized it by his oath, he will be among those at whom Allah Almighty will not look on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify him, and for him there will be a painful punishment." The narrator said: Then the other man became uneasy and returned the land.
Ahmad, al-Bazzar, Abu Ya'la, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
