Yazid bin Abi Habib narrated: Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) came upon two men in Egypt who were disputing over a piece of land. Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When you see two Muslim brothers disputing with each other over a hand-span of land, then leave that land." The narrator said: So on that occasion Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) left from there and went to Syria.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that Yazid bin Abi Habib did not hear from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him).
