بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَرْجِعُ فِي هِبَتِهِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 6758 — One who takes back his gift
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْعَائِدِ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْحُمَيْدِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِلَالِيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَأَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةِ ، وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْحُمَيْدِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِلَالِيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَأَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةِ ، وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One who takes back his gift is like one who takes back his vomit."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Hamid bin al-Hasan al-Hilali, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and Abu Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Abu Zur'ah and others declared him da'if (weak).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Hamid bin al-Hasan al-Hilali, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and Abu Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Abu Zur'ah and others declared him da'if (weak).
