وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " " لَا تَكْتُبُوا عَنِّي إِلَّا الْقُرْآنَ ، فَمَنْ كَتَبَ عَنِّي غَيْرَ الْقُرْآنِ فَلْيَمْحُهُ ، وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ " ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not note down anything from me except the Qur'an. Whoever has noted down from me anything other than the Qur'an should erase that writing. Narrate reports about the Children of Israel; there is no harm in it." Then the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
