Al-Qasim bin Abd al-Wahid al-Wazzan narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa in the market among the money-changers (who dealt in gold and silver), and he was saying: "O community of money-changers, receive glad tidings!" They said: "O Abu Muhammad, may Allah Almighty give you the glad tidings of Paradise for what you are about to tell us." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Receive (you who deal in usury) the tidings of Hell."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. About the narrator al-Qasim, al-Dhahabi said: I think Fudayl bin Husayn al-Jahdari is alone in narrating from him. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: No one has declared him weak.
