بَابُ إِعْطَاءِ الْأَجِيرِ وَالْعَامِلِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 6457 — Paying the hired worker and the labourer
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَعْطُوا الْأَجِيرَ أَجْرَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجِفَّ عَرَقُهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ شَرْقِيُّ بْنُ قَطَامِيٍّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give the labourer his wage before his sweat dries."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Sharqi bin Qutami, who is da'if (weak).
