Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6438

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had himself cupped on the two veins called al-akhda'an and between the two shoulders, and he gave the cupper his fee. Had it been unlawful, he would not have given it to him.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Jubarah bin Mughallis, whom Ibn Numayr declared trustworthy, while the Imams declared him da'if (weak), and Yahya bin Ma'in accused him of lying.
