وَعَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا تَمَّامٍ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَاوِيَةَ خَمْرٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّهَا قَدْ حُرِّمَتْ يَا أَبَا تَمَّامٍ " . فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَأَسْتَنْفِقُ ثَمَنَهَا ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ ثَمَنَهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Amir bin Rabi'ah reports from his father: A man from the tribe of Thaqif, whose kunyah was Abu Tammam, presented a waterskin of wine to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Tammam! It has been declared unlawful." He said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! May I make use of its price?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the One who made drinking it unlawful has also made its price unlawful."
