Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6367

One of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The traders are not to be met (outside the market), and a town-dweller shall not sell for a desert-dweller. Whoever buys a musarrah goat or she-camel (here the narrator Shu'bah mentioned only the she-camel once; the narration continues with these words:) then he has a choice between two options regarding that animal once he has milked it (either he keeps it) or, if he wishes, he returns it and returns a sa' of grain along with it." Here the narrator al-Hakam reported these words: perhaps he said that he should return a sa' of dates.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
