Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6352

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The runaway animal is to be returned." The narrator says: meaning, the runaway camel is to be returned.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Salam bin Ajlan. Abu Hatim said: His hadith is to be written down. Others besides him held back from using him as evidence, as al-Dhahabi has mentioned.
