وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ تَعِقُّ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ كَبْشًا ، وَلَا تَعِقُّ عَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ أَوْ تَذْبَحُ - الشَّكُّ مِنْهُ أَوْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ - فَعِقُّوا أَوِ اذْبَحُوا عَنِ الْغُلَامِ كَبْشَيْنِ ، وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ كَبْشًا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ أَبِي حَفْصٍ الشَّاعِرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُمَا .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Jews sacrifice one ram for the aqiqah of a boy and sacrifice nothing for the aqiqah of a girl. (Here the narrator has doubt about one word; the doubt is either from the narrator or from his father. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) So you should slaughter two rams on behalf of a boy and one ram on behalf of a girl."
Al-Bazzar recorded it as a narration of Abu Hafs al-Sha'ir from his father, and I have not found anyone who has given a biography of either of them.
