Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6132

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing the snakes that dwell in houses, except that the ruling is different for the one with two stripes or the short-tailed one, for these two take away eyesight, and women miscarry because of them."
Ahmad, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Faraj bin Fadalah, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness.
