Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6109

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A pitch-black dog is a devil."
Ahmad, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Layth bin Abi Sulaym; he is thiqah (trustworthy), but he is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain). The remaining narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
