Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6093

Hasan al-Basri says: I was present with Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) when, during his sermon, he ordered that dogs be killed and pigeons be slaughtered.
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good), except that the narrator Mubarak bin Fadalah is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).
