Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6092

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing any living creature, except that if it causes harm, the ruling is different. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the "Sahih" there is a hadith reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) with this same meaning, but it does not contain the words: "Except that the ruling is different for what causes harm."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Juwaybir bin Sa'id, and he is da'if (weak).
