Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What is your view about the lizard?" He said: "A nation was transformed, and Allah knows best." The narrator says: Uyaynah bin Badr came in and saw a cupper cupping the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a horn. He asked: "Are you letting him do this to your flesh?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Cupping is the best of all the methods with which you treat yourselves."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of al-Bazzar are thiqat (trustworthy).
