Majma al-Zawaid 6030 — Being merciful to animals when slaughtering
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ رَحِمَ ذَبِيحَةً رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever shows mercy to an animal being slaughtered, Allah Almighty will show mercy to him on the Day of Resurrection."
