وَعَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أُرَاهُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِذِي رُوحٍ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُبْ مَثَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Abu Salih al-Hanafi narrates from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whom I think was Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever mutilates a living creature and then does not repent of that deed, Allah Almighty will mutilate him on the Day of Resurrection."
