وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يُوشِكُ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ فِيكُمْ شَيَاطِينُ كَانَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَوْثَقَهَا فِي الْبَحْرِ ، يُصَلُّونَ مَعَكُمْ فِي مَسَاجِدِكُمْ ، وَيَقْرَءُونَ مَعَكُمُ الْقُرْآنَ ، وَيُجَادِلُونَكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ ، وَإِنَّهُمْ لَشَيَاطِينُ فِي صُورَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ مَوْقُوفًا ، وَهَذَا مَرْفُوعٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ نَسَبَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ إِلَى الْكَذِبِ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ مَوْقُوفًا ، وَهَذَا مَرْفُوعٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ نَسَبَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ إِلَى الْكَذِبِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Soon there will appear among you devils whom Sayyiduna Sulayman (peace be upon him) had imprisoned in the sea. They will pray with you in your mosques, they will recite the Qur'an with you, and they will argue with you about the religion; they will be devils in human form."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Muslim recorded this narration as "mawquf" (stopping at the Companion), while here it is "marfu'" (attributed to the Prophet). Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Khalid al-Wasiti, whom Yahya bin Ma'in attributed to lying.
