بَابٌ فِيمَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ .

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَتُودًا جَذَعًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تُجْزِئُ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ " . وَنَهَى أَنْ يَذْبَحُوا حَتَّى يُصَلُّوا .
قُلْتُ : لِجَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ فِي النَّهْيِ عَنِ الذَّبْحِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : لِجَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ فِي النَّهْيِ عَنِ الذَّبْحِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: A man slaughtered a one-year-old kid before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had offered the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After you, this will not suffice on behalf of anyone." He forbade people from slaughtering before offering the prayer. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Another hadith is also transmitted from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) on the prohibition of slaughtering before the prayer, apart from this one.
