عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ : ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ مَوْجُوءَيْنِ خَصِيَّيْنِ فَقَالَ : أَحَدُهُمَا عَمَّنْ شَهِدَ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ وَلِي بِالْبَلَاغِ ، وَالْآخَرُ عَنْهُ ، وَعَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ . قَالَ : فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَدْ كَفَانَا الْمَئُونَةَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَلَفْظُهُ عِنْدَهُ .

Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered two rams whose white predominated over the black, and both were castrated. He said: "One of the two is on behalf of everyone who bears witness to tawhid (the Oneness of Allah) and that I have conveyed (the message), and the other was on behalf of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his household." The narrator states: So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sufficed for us.
