Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "With my own hands I gave the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) water to drink from 'Bi'r Buda'ah' (the well called Buda'ah)."
Ahmad recorded it, and Abu Ya'la also (recorded it), except that his wording is: "We, along with some women, came to Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: 'If I were to give you water to drink from Bi'r Buda'ah, you would dislike it'"; the rest of the hadith is similar.
Al-Tabarani also recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and all its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
