Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5852

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إِلَّا إِلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ : مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ وَمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَسْجِدِي " .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا مَسْجِدَ الْخَيْفِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ خُثَيْمُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Journeys should be undertaken only to three mosques: Masjid al-Khayf, al-Masjid al-Haram and my mosque." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the "Sahih", but without the mention of Masjid al-Khayf.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Khuthaym bin Marwan, who is da'if (weak).
