بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَمُوتُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ .

عَنْ سُبَيْعَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَمُتْ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمُوتُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَوْ شَهِيدًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَلَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ فِيهِ أَحَدٌ بِسُوءٍ .

Sayyidah Subay'ah al-Aslamiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you is able to die in Madinah, let him die (in Madinah), for whoever dies here, I will be an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection (the narrator is in doubt; perhaps the words are:) a witness for him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Abdullah bin Ikrimah, whose case is different. Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned him, a group narrated from him, and no one has spoken ill of him.
