عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ - قَالَ : أَخَذْتُ نَهْسًا - يَعْنِي طَائِرًا بِالْأَسْوَافِ - فَأَخَذَهُ مِنِّي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ فَأَرْسَلَهُ ، وَقَالَ : أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا .
Shurahbil bin Sa'd narrates: I caught a bird at a place called al-Aswaf, and Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) took it from me and set it free, and said: "Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah declared the area between its two edges (lava tracts) a sanctuary?"
