وَعَنْ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ قُلْتُ : أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّهَا حَرَامٌ آمِنٌ ، إِنَّهَا حَرَامٌ آمِنٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Yusayr bin Amr narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say anything about Madinah?" He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is a sanctuary and a place of safety; it is a sanctuary and a place of safety."
