بَابُ فَجِئْتُ فَقَعَدْتُ بِالْأَرْضِ فَمَكَثُوا فِيهِ مَلِيًّا فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَقَيْتُ الدَّرَجَ فَدَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَقُلْتُ : أَيْنَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ؟ قَالُوا : هَاهُنَا ، وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ : كَمْ صَلَّى ؟ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَأَصْحَابَهُ فَدَخَلْتُ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْهُمْ فَقُلْتُ : كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حِينَ دَخَلَ فِي الْبَيْتِ ؟ قَالَ : صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ الْأُسْطُوَانَتَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْبَيْتِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, and I went in between two men among them and asked: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the House of Allah, what did he do?" He replied: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed two rak'ahs between the two pillars on the right side of the House of Allah."
