وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ الْعَبَّاسِ أَخْبَرَهُ : أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - [ الْبَيْتَ ] ، وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَمْ يُصَلِّ فِي [ الْبَيْتِ حِينَ دَخَلَهُ ] ، وَلَكِنَّهُ لَمَّا خَرَجَ فَنَزَلَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ بَابِ الْبَيْتِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرَوَى الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مَعْنَاهُ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) told him that he entered the Ka'bah with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Ka'bah, he did not pray inside; when he came out, he came down and prayed two rak'ahs near the door of the Ka'bah.
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded a report with this meaning in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
