عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلْعَبَّاسِ : سَلْ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْحِجَابَةَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ : " أُعْطِيكُمُ السِّقَايَةَ تَرْزَؤُكُمْ وَلَا تَرْزَءُونَهَا " ، وَقُلْتُ لِلْعَبَّاسِ : سَلْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَسْتَعْمِلُكَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَاتِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا كُنْتُ لِأَسْتَعْمِلَكَ عَلَى غُسَالَةِ ذُنُوبِ النَّاسِ " .
وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Al-Bazzar recorded this narration from Abdullah bin Abi Razin, from his father, from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): "Ask the Messenger of Allah to give us the hijabah (keeping of the Ka'bah)." Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) made this request to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will give you the office of the siqayah; it will not diminish you, nor will you diminish it." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said to Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): "Ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to appoint you as an official for collecting the sadaqat (charities)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will not appoint you as an official over the washings of people's sins." The narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
