Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: During the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Which city is the most sacred?" It was said: "Makkah." He asked: "Which month is the most sacred?" It was said: "Dhu al-Hijjah." He asked: "Which day is the most sacred?" It was said: "The Day of Sacrifice, and it is the day of the Greater Hajj." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your lives and your wealth are inviolable to one another, and will remain so until you appear before your Lord, just as this day of yours is sacred in this month of yours, in this city of yours. So I do not consider it right that any blood be shed in the Sanctuary of Allah Almighty."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Furat bin Ahnaf, who is da'if (weak).
