Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) set out with Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) towards Mina. Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) offered the Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajr prayers there. Then they set out from Mina towards Arafat, and there he offered the two prayers. Then they remained standing until, when the sun had set, he brought him to Muzdalifah. They halted there and spent the night there. Then he related that he prayed as quickly as any Muslim could possibly pray. Then they set out from there towards Mina. He performed the stoning, slaughtered (the animal) and had his head shaved. Then Allah Almighty revealed to Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Follow the way of Ibrahim, who was upright (hanif), and he was not of the polytheists."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir through various chains, the narrators of some of which are the narrators of the Sahih. In some of its routes it is mentioned: A man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "I am weak with regard to my mount and weak with regard to my family, so do you think I may leave early?" Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) arrived; he performed Tawaf of the House and performed the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, then he set out and offered the Zuhr prayer at Mina." After this, the narrator related a report similar to the previous one.
