وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْحَجَرُ الْأَسْوَدُ مِنْ حِجَارَةِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ غَيْرُهُ ، وَكَانَ أَبْيَضَ كَالْمَهَا ، وَلَوْلَا مَا مَسَّهُ مِنْ رِجْسِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مَا مَسَّهُ ذُو عَاهَةٍ إِلَّا بَرَأَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Black Stone is a stone from Paradise, and nothing else on earth is from Paradise besides it. It was perfectly white. Had the filth of the Jahiliyyah not touched it, any sick person who touched it would have been cured."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi Layla, and there has been criticism of him.
