Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5375

Ibrahim bin Khallad bin Suwayd al-Khazraji, who belonged to Banu al-Harith bin al-Khazraj, narrates: Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Be one who does 'ajj and thajj (that is, one who recites the talbiyah aloud and one who offers sacrifices)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir from the narrator Ibrahim himself, as you can see, and he also gave an entry on his biography; then he recorded it from him from his father Khallad, as will come later. It is possible that he heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and also from his father. The chain of this report contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).
