وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ سَعْدًا رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ : لَبَّيْكَ ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ . فَقَالَ : إِنَّهُ لَذُو الْمَعَارِجِ وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَقُولُ ذَلِكَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ إِلَّا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ إِلَّا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
Abdullah bin Abi Salamah narrates: Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) heard a man saying: "Here I am, O Lord of the Ways of Ascent (Dhu al-Ma'arij)." Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "He is indeed the Lord of the Ways of Ascent, but when we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we did not say these words."
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la and al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that the narrator Abdullah did not hear from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him). And Allah knows best.
