Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reports about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he forbade fasting on three days: hastening (the fast of) the Day of Tarwiyah, the day of Eid al-Adha, and the day of Eid al-Fitr.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Maslamah, whom Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and a group declared da'if (weak). Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy) and stated that he makes mistakes.
