وَعَنْ بَشِيرِ ابْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَةِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : أَصُومُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلَا أُكَلِّمُ أَحَدًا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا تَصُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا فِي أَيَّامٍ هُوَ أَحَدُهَا ، وَأَمَّا لَا تُكَلِّمُ أَحَدًا فَلَعَمْرِي لَأَنْ تُكَلِّمَ فَتَأْمُرَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَتَنْهَى عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ " .
هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ لَيْلَى امْرَأَةِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَقَدْ قِيلَ إِنَّهَا صَحَابِيَّةٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ لَيْلَى امْرَأَةِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَقَدْ قِيلَ إِنَّهَا صَحَابِيَّةٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Bashir bin al-Khasasiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Shall I fast on Friday and not speak to anyone on that day?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not fast on Friday, except among days of which it is one. As for not speaking to anyone (that is, a fast of silence), by my life, that you speak and enjoin what is good or forbid what is evil is better than that you remain silent."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in this way. Ahmad recorded it from Layla, the wife of Sayyiduna Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him), that Sayyiduna Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). According to one view she is a female Companion. The narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
