وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ كُلَّهُ قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَحَبُّ الشُّهُورِ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ تَصُومَهُ شَعْبَانُ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَكْتُبُ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ مَنِيَّةٍ تِلْكَ السَّنَةَ ، فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يَأْتِيَنِي أَجَلِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ " .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ طَرَفٌ مِنْهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ طَرَفٌ مِنْهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast the whole month of Sha'ban. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Is the month most beloved to you for fasting Sha'ban?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty decrees for every soul the specific matters of that year (i.e. who is to die in that year; He conveys this information to the angels), so I love that when the command of my death comes, I am fasting." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of it is narrated in the Sahih.
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji, about whom criticism has been made, although he has been declared trustworthy.
