عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ لِعَرَفَاتٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ كَثِيرٌ وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the people at Arafat from fasting on the day of Arafah.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Yahya, about whom much has been said, although he has been declared trustworthy.
