Majma al-Zawaid 499 — The virtue of the scholar and the learner

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever goes to the mosque intending nothing but to learn good or to teach it will have a reward like that of a pilgrim whose Hajj is complete."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and all its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
