Majma al-Zawaid 4979 — One who deliberately breaks a fast

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever does not fast one day of Ramadan without any concession will meet Allah Almighty with it, even if he afterwards fasts his whole lifetime; then, if Allah Almighty wills, He will forgive him, and if He wills, He will punish him.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
